DEX: the digital employee experience
DEX (Digital Employee Experience) measures the experienced quality of a device for its user: beyond the technical numbers, is the device pleasant and smooth to use day to day.

The DEX score
Each device gets a DEX score out of 100. It combines technical measurements (responsiveness, startup time, reliability) and the user's self-reported perception (see the survey below). A high score indicates a good experience; a low score signals friction, even if the hardware looks fine on paper.
The satisfaction survey
From time to time, a short survey is offered to the user directly on their device (through the agent). Their answers feed the DEX score and let you prioritize the devices that actually bother employees, not just the technically old ones.
Why it is useful
DEX links IT to the teams' lived experience: it helps justify a replacement or an intervention by the real experience, and to measure the effect of an action (an optimized device should see its DEX rise again).
