Scripts and remote execution

Some interventions run remotely on the device, with no on-site visit: a cleanup, an optimization, a batch uninstall. LongLife frames this with a high level of security and respect for the user.

Signed commands​

Every command sent to a device is cryptographically signed by the platform. The agent verifies the signature before any execution: it only runs authentic commands issued by LongLife. A third party cannot inject an order onto a device.

Framed execution​

  • The script runs in a controlled frame, with a maximum time limit.
  • Depending on configuration, a user confirmation may be requested on the device before launching the operation.
  • The user can suspend interventions on their device (for 1h, 4h or 24h) if they do not want to be interrupted at a given time.

What it enables​

Acting concretely and at scale (for example reclaiming dozens of licenses by uninstalling a ghost application), while keeping control and users' trust. The result of each execution is reported and tracked: see Tracking and results.
