Resource usage

For each device, LongLife tracks processor, memory and disk usage over time. This helps you understand whether a device is under-sized, well-sized, or over-sized.

CPU, RAM and disk performance metrics over the period

Processor (CPU)

Consistently high processor usage can explain slowness and suggest a device that is under-sized for its workload.

Memory (RAM)

Frequently saturated memory is a common cause of slowdowns. It is often the most cost-effective improvement (adding RAM rather than replacing the device).

Disk (SSD / storage)

Disk state and fill level are tracked. A disk close to saturation or aging is a point of attention.

Using these measurements

These measurements feed the recommendations (for example a memory upgrade) and help you decide between optimizing, upgrading or replacing. See Interventions and actions.
